Polar Fun!!!

The students had a great time this week learning all about Polar Animals.  We watched the polar cam at the San Diego Zoo and preformed an  blubber experiment to see how the polar animals stay warm in the cold weather. This week we also celebrated the 100th Day of school on Tuesday, January 24th with a round robin with the three other classes on our pod. Please do not forget the Valentine Day Card boxes, we are asking that each student brings in a cereal box that is decorated and has an opening in the top for the other students to place cards in. We will exchange cards on February 14th. Thank you for all your support!!

Happy 100th Day!!

Winter Fun!!

This week the students learned more about winter and we began to talk about Arctic animals. Several of the students went on a snow ball hunt around the school. Other students had a snow ball toss contest and some made snow crystals. Our story of the week was the "Three Snow Bears." Next week we will focus on learning more about Arctic animals. Please do not forget to send in your child's Valentine Box; see the newsletter for more information. Have a great weekend.

A Snowtastic Week in Pre-K!

The students have had a great time this week learning about winter. We have had ice skating races, made puff paint and tear art snowmen, and learned the "5 Little Snowmen"song. Some of the students preformed a Dot Explosion experiment, using vinegar, food color, and baking soda. While others made sensory color bottles. We are proud to announce that Miss. Victoria will be our student intern from Liberty County High. FYI: All outside food that is brought in for the class must be store bought. We are not allowed to accept homemade items. Please remember that there will be no school on Monday, January 16th, due to the Martin Luther King Holiday. Have a great weekend!!!
