This week our class has had a great time learning about eggs and experimenting with them. On Monday, the students each got to dye a egg and then they peeled it and ate it. We are experimenting with an uncooked egg in vinegar and will chart the the results on Friday. Today the students went on an egg hunt and then we had a snack later in then classroom. Thank you to everyone who sent in eggs, the kids really loved finding them. Please do not forget to turn in the permission slip for the Strawberry Farm field trip. I hope that everyone has a great time during the Spring Break, April 2-6, 2012!
This week our class talked all about the changes in the seasons from Winter to Spring and different types of weather. The students loved learning about meteorologists and practicing telling weather reports. The students also learned all about the colors of the rainbow-we made rainbow necklaces out of Fruit Loops. We worked with graphing various types of weather, sorting, and positional words. Please remember that we have our class egg hunt next Wednesday, March 28th from 9-9:20. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the school, 912-876-0773. Have a great weekend and thank you for your support.
We have had a wonderful week in our class this week learning all about St. Patrick's Day. We made shamrock people, sorted and counted shamrocks, hunted for shamrocks, and made shamrock shakes. Also, we were a part of a school wide St. Patrick's Day Parade, lead by a bagpipe player. Please remember that there will be no school on Thursday, March 15th and Friday, March 16th. We hope that everyone enjoys their long weekend. Remember to check your child's folder for information about the upcoming egg hunt. Thank you for all your support.
