Egg-cellent Week

This week our class has had a great time learning about eggs and experimenting with them. On Monday, the students each got to dye a egg and then they peeled it and ate it. We are experimenting with an uncooked egg in vinegar and will chart the the results on Friday. Today the students went on an egg hunt and then we had a snack later in then classroom. Thank you to everyone who sent in eggs, the kids really loved finding them. Please do not forget to turn in the permission slip for the Strawberry Farm field trip. I hope that everyone has a great time during the Spring Break, April 2-6, 2012!

We will have Book Fair that will be in the front by the office all week. Then on Monday with Muffins for Mom (7:00am), Tuesday will spring pictures with Life Touch, Wednesday there is Donuts for Dads, Thursday is Goodies for Grandparents and the Hot Dog Dinner, then on Saturday there is a Yard Sale at the school from 8am - noon. Happy Valentine's Day!

Our class had a great time this week sharing their Valentine cards and treats with their classmates. Thank you to everyone who donated items for the card exchange and the snack. Also, this week we worked with graphing and balancing different items. Today we were visited by some of the dental staff from Fort Stewart and the students some facts about how to take care of their teeth. Please do not forget that there will be no school this Friday, February 17th  or on Monday, February 20th, due to President's Day. Thank you again for all the wonderful Valentine treats that you sent in for the class and for Ms. Gibbs and myself.

The students have really had a busy week this week. We made it through our first severe weather drill, took class pictures, and began learning about friendship/Valentines. All the students have really enjoyed showing off their Valentine card boxes and they are very excited for the card exchange next week on February 14th. A big thank you to everyone for donating for the snack after the card exchange, I know that the students will really enjoy it. Please remember that we have 22 students in our class and that we are asking that you only fill out the "from" section of the cards for the exchange. Please enjoy the photos below:
